I have OS 2008 as well, but couldn't get Youtube to work. I got a message saying that JavaScript is off or I have an older version of Flash Player. The Flash Player download page gave me 3 options:

1. Download the Flash Player which is a 2,965k tar.gz file
2. Download the Flash Player which is a 2,962k rpm file
3. Download "the YUM" which is a 5k rpm file

Any suggestions on what to download or update? Thanks
