I had one faulty N9 too , with ram memory problems but they replaced it with a good one .

I think the earpiece of N9 is loud enough only bad placed . The problem is it's tiny hole that if it's covered half you can hear almost nothing .

I thought too is a problem but I calibrated phone with my ear
