Is there a way, a method, a specefic messenger that provides lesser consumption of data sent and received when signing in to msn using hildon msn "Haze" account.

The reason for asking this question is that when singing in to msn account using "Nokia 5800" it only takes a few kbs but when using n900 it takes over 200/250 kbs or more.Taking into regard that GPRS/3G in some countries has very high charges.
