So after removing the SD card, plugging it into power, and turning it on/off several times I just left it off to charge. About 1-2 hrs later I come back and the screen shows "charging". I unplug it and then attempt to turn it on...nothing. I then plug it back in and the "charging" doesn't come back up and I can't turn it on.

I took the battery out and left it out for about 30 minutes and then just put the battery back in and plugged it in...nothing. Attempted to turn it on.... nothing. Just took the battery back out and will try it again in another 30 minutes.
