Many documents and plans stated that Maemo was going to be the top of the line. If not an alternative, Maemo/MeeGo was to be a superlative to Symbian.

I've never argued against this. They had a lead, lost it, we know the rest.

m$ kicked him out and that was (alas) the only company he wasn't able to run into the ground.

Yet... the Nokia Board of Directors felt like he could turn around Nokia? Who's the fool here. The fool... or the fools following the fool?

that NOKIA didn't fire Fart is just the proof how incompetent they are. no matter what ludicrous reasons they may have to hire the failure, not firing him after burning hara-kiri just proves that they deserve nothing else then what is going to hit them in the next 12 months... bankruptcy.
The fact they hired him is proof positive that the board is incompetent. Nothing more is needed to be stated.
