Wow it works! Thanks everyone. Speaking of gconf, I stumbled upon the Network_Search_Interval under connectivity. It's set as a default of 300 (5 mins). My interest is credited to this post: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=675

I was always annoyed with the stuttering of bluetooth during audio streaming to my car and it was due to the routine Wi-Fi scanning while streaming audio.
So I set it to 0. I figure for me, why should I have my phone waste battery by looking for useless Wi-Fi every 5 minutes. If I'm away from my home Wi-Fi connection and I'm in a public area and in a situation where I need Wi-Fi, I would just hit the status bar and search and establish a connection to whatever network. I only see gains for me by disabling the routine search, specifically in battery life and of course in A2DP streaming.

When I come home I'll just manually connect to my home network and that's it!
