I would also humbly suggest
glogarchiver
. It can store, sort, search, and view the database much more efficiently. This allows you to not only export them (as csv) but also allows you to clean out your primary database for better performance. I find that having over a few thousand entries tends to make the whole thing slow down. Not only that, but this one database stores all kinds of info, including in/out call info, SMS data, IM messages, and more.
There is also a simple way to clean out and compact your existing database, which is useful if yours has become corrupted or you do a lot of deleting. I don't recall the exact command now, but you can power search for "sqlite dump" and the name of the database file (evl.db?).
