The problem is that we don't really have anyone to yell at (rightly and usefully I mean, apart from venting our frustration here and there). I for one am certainly not taking Quim Gil to task or any of the other easily identifiable people for this : I remain convinced that he, and all the rest of what we call the "maemo team", have done everything they could do and more.

I have a mental picture of them as tiny, isolated, atypical unit inside the global behemoth that is Nokia. After all, they are the only ones there who don't make phones, use Linux and push Open Source. For all we know they may be considered as Martians at the corporate level, just barely tolerated or even actively disliked by some. Such things happen.

From outside it certainly seems that lately the team's efforts have been sabotaged (actively or passively) by other business units, notably in logistics and marketing.
My French compadres' various phone conversations with nokia.fr customer reps lying through their teeth to cover up their own fsckup, recover sold and delivered tablets by questionable means, and deliver yet again new codes that still don't work, certainly left foul tastes in some mouths over here.

But whatever the cause (plain incompetence, fallout from the mega-reorg Texrat hinted at, or corporate infighting), I'm sure the maemo team has nothing do do with it ; and those really responsible are safely out of view, where we can't get at them, even verbally.
