Sure

I just want to remind that a beginner is someone who is new to developing for the Maemo/MeeGo Harmattan platforms and developed their first release (there's that term again) during the competition time frame. I got into a discussion tonight that something like a QML app should be eligible for a beginner if it is the first time using QML. That could be talked about for future competitions, but not for this one I'm afraid - it's much too late. Think of the rule as there to encourage new developers onboard the Maemo/MeeGo train.

Absolutely

One thing we do ask in the rules is that a feature freeze is put on for the period of voting. Bugs can be fixed, are welcome to be fixed, and carry on developing ofcourse But we ask that voting is done on the features present on the version of the application available at the deadline.

This is to avoid the "I'll vote for you if you add X feature" problem.
