You know if you can delete the action of the shortcuts to swipe up? ie when you swipe up just switch to another action and do not open the shortcuts.
try deleting them from home/user/.local/share/applications (quicklaunchbar0,1,2,3.desktop) but keep doing it and only appears in the blanks.

IIRC, that part of the system is closed source so it can't be disabled...But you've piqued my curiosity; we should ask Vesuri about this as its related to meegtouchhome and he's the best person at it

I'll look thru' the documentation on meegotouchhome to see if there's anything I can find on it...Don't place much hope on me as I'm not that good at it anyway ...
