a gave rawcam a try and i got some requests/suggestions ranked according to priority:
1. show a preview of the shot once the picture is taken/make the LED blink/make a shutter release "click" so that the user knows that the shot was taken. i hold my breath when i press the shutter button especially under low light, i almost died of asphyxiation!
2. onscreen shutter button and use the keyboard (spacebar or enter) as optional shutter button.
3. option to customize file name prefix.
