Nokia maps may be better but just stating something as a fact doesn't make it so however for my use case I am not too concerned with the map quality, it is the satellite image quality I care about.
Also I too hope the Jolla project achieves its goals and I will be watching it very closely over the coming months.
Personally I object to manufacturers trying to cater only for users like Lumiaman in the pursuit of their money by spoon feeding them services on locked down devices but if that is what they need to feel comfortable then each to their own.
I, however chose an N900 specifically because I support OpenSource goals and am quite comfortable using my time "modding , patching , or xterming" if I choose and I want a device that I can make work how I wish not how Google or Apple dictate, Apple maps locked into IOS is a perfect example of all that is wrong with closed source.
