yes it was
if it wasn't for Maemo / MeeGo devices, it would even be a serious contender but...
after having had N900 for two years, despite its improvements over past versions, Symbian Belle is simply not up to... being a (Linux) computer in your pocket ¦-)))))

again, if there was just the other crappy (dumb-)phones 808 PV would be a serious contender, indeed...
