i turned off the phone last night to make a backup of it with backup menu and this morning i cannot boot it (endless loop).
i suspect that it has something to do with my last boot where i had to pull the battery out and return it (power button did not
shut it down)
when trying to restore optfs from backupmenu (any image) i get the following message:
----
Mounting the optFS...
Error: cannot mount the OptFS.
try using fsck mode and see if that fixes it.
---
Other things i noticed:
root console is not working - i get a constant black screen when starting it
i can backup and restore the RootFS normally without any problems
my optfs is of type ext4 4GB (for almost a year now)
i did not install/upgrade anything since my last reboot which was a few hours earlier (and booted normally)
next step i did is reflashing the device with nokia's image - the flash was successful and the device booted.
i then installe rootsh and backupmenu with app manager, and tried to reformat the optfs (which was not mounted after boot - i
checked with "mount" command) from the x-terminal:
mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk0p2
this went successfuly - after boot i can see that optfs is mounted to /home (the file system is recognized as ext3 though) so
this is not a hardware issue.
even after this - i am unable to get to a place where i am able to restore my backed up optfs image (the image itself is not the problem since the message is about the mount itself, and also - i tried extracting previous images also and got the same message)
any ideas on how to fix/proceed with this will be more than welcome.
