Actually no, we don't want that. We had a discussion about it in this thread before, and we decided that 99% of the pictures we receive are just trash and stupid jokes for one time viewing that nobody want to save and fill the gallery with them.

Maybe one day after several other more important features are implemented we could code an optional downloading of the pictures.

Remember you can save important images from the browser.

Just click on the systray and read the status from the systray applet. Honestly there's no room in the chat screen left.
