I would maybe test it with the 10 or 20 most important numbers for you and resync and see, if it changes anything.
Thanks, unlike you, half of my contacts aren't overseas, hence half of the no's in my address book don't require +[country_code][ph_no].
Very well then, I'll go through 10 random contacts & add +[country_code] to their no's, & see if a resync adds some of them to Wazapp's contact list.
If that results in more being added I won't go through all my contacts to do the same, I'll just wait for a fix, if it results in none being added, well, I guess very few of my contacts use Whatsapp *shrugs*

Also in my address book, some contacts are formatted like this +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX
This causes the current posted version problems and the contact doesn't sync while 0.2.7 (or the earlier posted one) didn't have this problem.
Currently trying to find the bug tracker to see if it's a reported bug or not cause the client should be able to strip the extra characters like normal whatsapp. My Symbian phone has 47 contacts sync'd, whereas my N9 only has 30.
EDIT: Found it reported

Thanks, I'm unlikely to have many contacts overseas, so I don't see why many would have +[country_code][phone_no].
Regarding the +1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx issue, I'm not sure if I'd be affected by that, I guess I'll check several of my contacts to see if they begin with +1.
