Unfortunately, those days of high volumes and low costs are long gone as that is exactly what failop has been trying to move away from in order to Apple-fi nokia.

I agree with you that has very likely that AT+T may have taken the cautious move to not over stock on the win8 phones based on previous experience but the sad thing is, stories like the OPs will just end up being marketing spin for "demand being greater than supply".
