I need some assistance. I was following the directions using the Unbuntu for flasher to get the Nokia into R&D mode, but when I get to the part to connect the Nokia, the Windows OS prompts for nokia 770 (host) drivers to be installed. I figured that the rs-mmc was the problem, and it corrected the Windows OS from not connecting to the device. Without the rs-mmc in the 770, it says VMware USB device connected. However, I still get the USB device not suitable, waiting message in the VMware window. It never goes through the rd mode activation, the VMware sees the device and can migrate through it, but I don't get the r&d mode enabled.

I am using the chmod 0550 flasher command, and I have tried chmod +777 flasher as well.

Any ideas as to what to do? What am I missing?

Could it be that my USB is not that good for the VMware, or am I forgetting a device lock of some sort?
