Please do ignore all of adelalgomai's advice. Run the following command and check whether power kernel is listed: Code: dpkg --list | grep kernel-power Did you try to install it before? It is marked installed, but if the device doesn't automatically run the power kernel after a reboot, then the previous installation must've failed.
dpkg --list | grep kernel-power
Did you install (or had at one point installed) any packages which modify (or replace) the existing kernel or any packages which modify the boot process of the N900?
