The live cd is the maemo disc, correct? And I can just boot off it, and user the linux flasher that I already dl with ubuntu. Am I working in Ubuntu to run the flasher, or is live CD a different enviroment?
When I was using the VMware, and the Ubuntu, it saw the device. Just when the flasher command was executed, it said it was not suitable. The device itself could be searched through the desktop viewer. Is that what you were seeing, Hedgecore. And then you jumped out to click on the nokia usb phone device button, and then the flasher worked.
I will try the live CD, but I am unclear of how it works, or what the flow of the commands are when reading maemo.org.
Again, how can work around the VMware with Ubuntu? Can I just Ubuntu on its own, or am I to use the live CD to operate that interface.
Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.
