Let's migrate everything from the nokia circle, and make this phone totally opensource at the core. If someone want it, we should build archlinux with hildon desktop so we would have a maemo-like operating system totally opensource and supported by a huge community.

It was already decided (afaik) that ads won't be used. Which makes perfect sense to me - if I want ads on my device, I will buy android one.

And what exactly is your problem with Nokia and OVI store? OVI store is not something bad, the problem is it is not attractive to developers. Because of the tiny user base. You can call it whatever you like and host it wherever you like, but until developers get interested in putting stuff there, it is a no go. And TBH, I can't imagine a way that could happen.
