You need a T4 screwdriver to remove the 2 screws under the SIM holder and USB cover, and a plastic spatula to remove the screen assembly. Then you can see the battery connector, which can be unplugged with tweezers. And the phone can dry much more quickly.

If dropped in salt water, rinse in clean water. Though by the time you get it open, it might as well be battery acid.
