Sorry no matter what I do nothing happens by the double click (only boot if too slow!)

Double click from the Standby screen however makes the next (wallpaper/background) screen which normally only last a few (5-10) seconds (before going back to the standby screen) now standing as long as the (3) homescreens meaning 1minute or so.
