A bit after the horse has bolted but... As a general rule, when trying to flog something and not in a great hurry, I usually find a few equivalent items in a similar condition on eBay and watch them until they sell. That gives me an idea how much I can reasonably expect.

EDIT: It works for buying too.

EDIT2: "A few" = "at least 5", if possible. To eliminate flukes.
