Hopefully this will change as DDG grows.

I also use Adblock which blocks most of the rubbish at the top of google searches anyway.
I'm afraid for most, but not afraid really. As soon as better 'search' (can we still call it 'search' when they push so much advertised content) gives 2-3 times a curious user worse results than their competitors do... I will definitely move to binging it if another slipup occurs, probably most users won't, but with firefox making bing default and techies learning gradually how their love is in fact pushing down content for ads... Collapse will take everyone by surprise (add to it ISPs that can critically hurt google when GOOF is trying to force their monopoly on them: (btw MS still needs to learn a lot, instead of treating google failures decently, they should act on making them more viewable as google does (every tried to google google video app that let you download from its services, it never left beta but is now one of hardest things to google), bing treats this as a normal article, though hard to find in first page google results, trick results to trick reality google adopted long ago):

Few more major ISPs following and google's revenue model collapse is expected (that or AdBlock+ adoption, expect unrequested features in chrome and disappearing from search results or else). Poor droid users, they will see a rise of advertising to fill that hole
