Alcatel Introduces World’s Thinnest Smartphone, Own Phablet, and a Mid-Ranger

Alcatel has unveiled its 2013 line-up at CES and has done so in a way which brings the world’s thinnest smartphone to the market, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra (pictured above). It measures only 6.45mm in thickness and features a 4.7-inch HD AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, eight-megapixel camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on-board.

Next up is Alcatel’s own take on phablets, the One Touch Scribe. It is the first smartphone powered by the 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 SoC and packs a five-inch HD screen. Radio has support for 4G speeds, and there’s an eight-megapixel main camera at its back. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is on-board and so is 1GB of RAM.

The One Touch Scribe X packs the same five-inch screen, 1080p resolution, twelve-megapixel camera, 720p HD front-facer, and a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU.
