It was "taking too long". Figured it out. It was because of the phone-number, I suppose, since I entered the phone-number in arabic numbers, instead of european. Or to be exact I entered it in indian numbers, instead of arabic numbers (since the europeans use arabic numbers, and the arabs use indian numbers. For no reason I understand. And nobody uses the roman numbers btw.)

Changed the regional settings and the language, rebooted, did the account-adding and rebooted again. Worked.
