you say you did a full reflash, you mean rootfs+emmc ? If yes, you sure you put images with names mywall1.png, mywall2.png, mywall3.png etc.. to /home/user/MyDocs/.wallpapers not to /home/user/.wallpapers ?

Also, try to run this command as USER:

chmod 777 /home/user/.wallpapers
and after this run script as ROOT...
