There is, unfortunately, no maemo word processor that will edit MS Word, OpenDocument, or RTF files. There is also no adequate PIM functionality, nor any way to sync the n810's data to one's desktop machine(s).
Coming from the Palm, where these things have been available for a decade, this has all come as something of a shock to me. So if what you want is a useful machine for everyday use, you will be disappointed with the n810.
However, if what you want is a nifty piece of hardware to *play* with, you will definitely love the n810. It's all but useless, but then, so is a Rubik's Cube.
