I've lot of videos (trailers, tv-shows etc.) made for N80 which I've encoded using the Smartmovie encoder which came with the application (from Lonelycatgames company). It's supposed to be with some sort of Divx/xvid codec (IMO). Is there anyway to play those directly using the N800 mplayer or builtin mediaplayer? The built-in player doesn't recognize the file because it is .avi and the mplayer opens it but the the quality is horrible. Basically there is no picture at all, just weird mixture of colors that seems to be moving randomly on the screen. Once in a while I see some recognizable thing amongst the mess but basically not usable. Canola does the same thing like mplayer. Is there anyway to add some required codec for mplayer to use? Or is there any other alternative player which is able to handle this? I'm sure some of you must have the Smartmovie encoded files for your S60 phones..... BTW, the DivX player for S60 plays those files fine on the phone besides the Smartmovie player.
