the core apps are good generally, gps is very usable and fast if you ask me. i'm only having troubles with the e-mail app.

if you still like the device i suggest you to buy a 64gb version if there is any new left.
Thanks. Yeah I don't care much about an e-mail app, if I want e-mail I'll use an ssh client, I'm that much of a throwback. I'm concerned about the battery because I live in a building with no cellular reception which means any phone I have drains its battery quickly trying to contact a tower unsuccessfully. So I have to charge up my E63 nightly and if I forget to do that, I can maybe get through the next day with it but just barely. As long as I can just swap in a spare battery it's not a big deal. With the N9, I may end up getting one of those stupid external chargers with its own battery inside.

I've been reading a bunch of blogs etc. about the N9 and they do make the UI sound really nice. There do seem to be some new 64GB's still around at attractive prices. It actually looks like I paid a little too much for my 16GB. I thought I was getting a big bargain. Oh well, the money isn't a big deal to me at the moment.

I'm wondering now what I'd do with 64gb if I had it. I'd like to have a good set of GPS maps but I expect that's just a few GB at most. I don't care about downloading movies. I plan to shoot a fair number of photos but probably not much video. I like the idea of a high capacity music player, but have concerns about draining the battery listening to music and then not being able to make a phone call. So maybe 16gb is really enough. Otherwise why did they even make the 16gb? The N900 came with 32gb -and- was expandable.

I also just discovered that the N9 uses a micro sim. So much for just swapping the sim card out of my E63.

Anyone got a favorite color of N9? Mine is black and some of the others look nicer, it seems to me.
