1) "Skype"? Why? I have a cell phone.

2) You can buy a GPS with or without owning a Palm. Not sure how this is relevant. Then again, I said "useful". I have yet to see any use for having a GPS. I have had a map book in my car for 20 years (not the same one that whole time, of course), and it cost a hell of a lot less than a GPS (or the full version of "Wayfinder").

3) As for browsing the web, I said "useful", not "entertaining". That being said, yes, you could browse the web on a Palm four years ago, although there is no question that the n810 does it better (thanks to the Gecko engine).

The n810 is a fun little gadget. But useful, or a replacement for a Palm, it isn't. Not yet, anyway.
