from this post by Fawz found this video where Marc Dillon answers a few questions

• due to the swiping being used from all four side the only way to close an app is to hold an app long in the App view & use the (X) that shows up after a few seconds
  draw back compared to MeeGo's swype down i'd say
• landscape mode is not supported by default, but maybe they'll build in some auto-rotate possibility for applications
  which is in line with the default N9 behavior
  otherwise, the landscape QWERTY hardware keyboard won't make much sense, now, would it?
