thanks raaj but I actually figured out a temorary solution as you mentioned
better use filebox or hamster and navigate to home/user/.config/marxian/qdl.config and delete that file
now open again qdl
if it still crashes then again navigate to home..qdl.config and edit it
edit automatic downloads to false and number of maximum concurrent downloads to 1
hope it helps as it helped me
