Well, I didn't really do too much work on Lanterne today, but I went ahead and pushed up a little update anyway. The only new functionality in version 0.5.1 is an option on the preferences window that will cause Lanterne to exit when you close the camera cover.

I've also started to play around with the UI a bit, to reconfigure Lanterne more as a general-purpose flashlight app than as a tool for experimentation. To simplify the main window, I've moved the "strobe flash" button off of it and into the menu options. I've also tweaked the UI in a couple of other places, in an attempt to start cleaning it up. (I should also probably find some pretty icons or something to make it look professional, I guess... )
