So I installed power kernel and Qt Mobile Hotspot, so that I can use my n900 as a wifi hotspot for my android tablet at work.

Now what I read is that android devices have problems with Qt MHS because of ad hoc. I have read Guide about this(http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=67983), but in this thread is says that his device could not even see the n900 hotspot, now my android does see the hotspot but connecting to it is a problem. I select to connection but nothing really happens, and the connection is not established. The guide also mentions about static IP connection from advanced options(I have DHCP and Static). Now is the LAN IP(/24) ip address in Qt MHS the address I'm supposed to use as IP address or Gateway address in android advanced options?

If anybody has better experience about connecting android device to n900 with Qt mobile hotspot any help would truly be appreciated.

The reason why I'm asking for help is that, I read from somewhere that you can actually brick your android device while trying to enable ad hoc connections, which I REALLY don't wanna do.
