We may have 3G and WLAN, but at least *I* don't have a 300m long house or garden. It's much much closer to 300m2 (including garden! . So don't complain.

If you get DSL, you can plug a WLAN router to the modem (or get a modem/router). If the range isn't enough, just buy a repeater or two. I still don't see what your problem is, and in any case is now off-topic (at least w.r.t. the first post).
