Fablabs are very popular in the Netherlands and we have a good bunch of 'em spread all over.
The problem is only parially the available tools/FabLabs. Also a challenge is the item that needs to get digitized. Nothing you simply throw on the scanner and after 5 minutes you're done.

But feel free to start & provide help, when a FabLab is arround you :-) (keep in mind: not only generating an image /mash, but also make it printeable/CNC-enable ...

(I'm having the tools @ hand, it's just a matter of (self-imposed?) quality issues that also play an important role ...)
