I think your points show little understanding of what sells and what doesnt. If Maemo was at one point so open, why it didnt sell? You still have no answer. You are still stuck with simple association of Android current dominance and that is "more" open than iOS and WP. The answer is simple and you dont get it: Android dominates because it was the first to differentiate itself from Apple by licensing their software to ton of other manufacturers and therefore allowing the greater number of devices to be produced at every price point. Apple only focused on high end, and they still control the high end by volume. The reason why Android dominates is because they were the first to copy Apple and the first to license their software to others. WP came late to game and are trying Android game but not successful as late arrivals. Nothing to do with open UI.

NOKIA stock performance has to do with missing the boat when they had to act. And the stock is rising. I have almost doubled my investment. I am waiting for $10 in spring.
