It's you who don't get it, Canonical themselves explained clearly from the outset that it was no more than a concept series, the real drive was to come with their range of Ubuntu phones through hw partners. They are a sw/services vendor, get that through your head... Now that range of Ubuntu phones was/is to have similar "docking" abilities, but comparatively speaking they were to be far more hobbled for that purpose. (and that's even putting aside some of the solid arguments out there that such convergence devices are simply "flavor of the mth", & little more than gimmicks LT) Especially with the 1st version of Ubuntu Touch coming Q1, which will still be based strictly around X/Xmir.
