can you also test the sound configs?
copy two WAVs to MyDocs called a.wav and b.wav, edit prefs, and add these lines:
quickSnapShutterSound=/home/user/MyDocs/a.wav
quickSnapSaveSound=/home/user/MyDocs/b.wav

then take a quickSnap, you should hear a, then hear b about 5 seconds later
