@Sharp66, I reflashed the device a long time ago.
And since the USB port got off I can't reflash again.
And maaaaaaaaaaaaybeeeeeeee by a long shot I can manage to find someone to solder it back on the mbo, what do you think?

@Estel. the battery spring thing worked (I spent 5 mins typing LOL)

And I really think it's the flex ribbon because when I thought my N900 was totally dead, I discovered somehow that I can turn it on whilst keeping pressure on the screen (top metal frame part) so that it's closer to the keyboard.
IF the phone shifts in my pocket, I often find it shut down when I grab it.
That's why I've stopped using it in commuting.
