It has happened with the Clock, Settings and Meespot app in the last few days. Sometimes when I open an app it just closes after it had loaded. Other times it stays open but can then instead close when I swipe it away to the multitasking.

Like this morning the settings app refused to stay open when swiping it away it just closed. If I went into a submenu first and then backed out to the first page and swiped it away it would stay open.

Is this some kind of bug in the system?
