Thanks IntreidAnitpodean2 for the USBControl Link. It works great and I didn't even have to modify the cables. I used the Motorola SKN6252A Micro USB-B Male to Mini USB-B Female adapter coupled with the mini USB-B Male to USB-A Female adapter.

BTW, I have a N810. The USBControl program is simple and it just works without any X-term typing so even a newbie like me can use it. I have gotten the USB thumbdrives to work and also a USB keyboard.
It's so cheap to buy these adapters, I bought 3 and modded 1 with the soldering method. It works, but not very professional looking. I would suggest you buy extra adapters and play around with them since it costs next to nothing.
