It has certainly to do with the deal which hit every real fin's balls... since the "elop deal" went public in finland, they are all quite mad. Nokia really was a flagship representing finnish economy..
I was on a trip there (in my home country) when the news hit the stage.

"Elop earned 19 Million in three years for selling out nokia..:"

y'should have seen the 16 page special issue in finnish "iltasanomat", which corresponds to the german BILD (or maybe US NY Post / USA today// british SUN) whining bout the sell-out of the leading innovator / saviour of finnish economy / finnish soul and spinning conspiracy theories bout elop/ms having planned this all way long.

just rememeber, Finland has the highest number of cell phones per capita, so I could bet we'll meet the "other half" in user numbers (jolla vs appledroidwindows)..

I'm shure this is an excellent strategy stepstone, just you non-fins be cool and wait a little more, when this awesome idea succeeds in finland, it will do so in the world (just as nokia did in the past).
