I've had my n800 for about a week. There have been some problems powering up, but nothing requiring a 3 minute wait.
Everything was pretty much going swimmingly until yesterday when I noticed that it hadn't gotten charged after I unplugged it. I tried plugging it back it - nothing. Tried plugging into different outlets - nothing. I tried powering off for 3 minutes - no effect. I tried pulling the battery out for 10+ minutes - no effect. I tried blowing out the cord and receptor with compressed air - nothing. No "Charging" dialog. The battery icon continuing to get lower.
As the remaining charge got low, I got desperate enough to try freezing (nothing) and re-flashing with os2008 (nothing).
Some additional data points:
jiggling the power cord (when it was working) would often result in a fresh "Charging" notification, so the hardware connection may be the problem
I installed powerlaunch yesterday, but if that had been the problem, I would have expected a re-flash to resolve the issue
I was using yesterday while attending my daughter's ice skating practice (it was cold)
Anyone have any ideas? At this point, I'm pretty sure I need to return it, but I figured I ask before I have to go without for a while.
