Ofcourse not, but the reason more memory is often the more bits used the more memory also used.

They've put sooo much emphasis on:

They've said very clearly & regularly it'll be approx. a mid-ranged/specced device, but one that's still literally "a high-end experience".

And all that still remains as murky as ever, if they're not going to deliver (at all) on hw, they better bloody well deliver there, or I'll visit HQ to give Marc a Chinese burn.

*& by that I don't mean the 64k +- nerds that hang-out here, if they're to survive longer-term they'll need to appeal to a FAR wider audience
Question is "if FAR wider audience." does they care much about highend specs? I doubt. I think hiend speecs geeks are most guys that bus new devices every 3 month and never get enought.

I think normal customers care far more about:

* what apps exist, instagram, angrybirds.....
* coolnes (question is can OTH be cool?)
* usable everywhere (sync with MacOS, dropbox, windows, linux TV)
* how long batteryttime
* Does it take good photos inhouse and out (no I don't talk bout mpix, most people dont know what mpix or ISO is about, what they can see is the quality of the pictures they take. And many mobile is crap in this area and people will not buy if testers give Jolla phone bad points in this area). I mean can it replace your compact camera? This days most people don't want to have both an phone and an compact camera. Not even people who cares a purse.
* How buggy SW does you have to restart phone every day because an apps goes nut or even worse the core OS crashes?
* How "buggy" HW do I have to send it to get fixed because broken USB etc... (now this is a issue that scares me alot. Does Jolla has enought money to make all those heavy tests needed?

And now too the biggest problem for Jolla:

* Can Jolla Phone make bigger audience go from my Iphone or Samsung to this new little company? The answer is yes. If the price is not to high and they success in above areas.

Now thats bigger concerns than latest and greatest HW specs for endusers.
