There are 2 Fn keys, a blue on the left and a green on the right. The blue one is for the numbers on the top row, and the green for the shifted characters that would typically be on the number keys.
It's not that bad, though I do find I often have to backspace and fix a few things. Also consider things like passwords if you have numbers and punctuation embedded (and you should). It is a great keyboard though. I don't think there's a numlock either. (I have a dell branded one which SAYS numlock, but it only applies to the Axim I guess).
Overall, you have to decide which is less convenient - the shifted numbers, a bulky keyboard that you just won't carry, or no keyboard at all.
