Not sure how to help you - from what I remember that's just not supposed to happen - after a full reflash, the lock code shouldn't be popping up at boot. Are you sure it's not the SIM card pin code that's being asked? As SIM cards can be pin-code protected too, and the N900 will ask for that at boot as well.

I'd say your next best bet is to try to reflash again, make sure it's actually reflashing, etc.
