You've probably already thought about this, but it just came to my mind that even if the main goal of the Neo900 is to be able to run Maemo5, nothing will stop it from running other OSs, including Mer (Sailfish), FirefoxOS, Ubuntu Touch, etc. not to speak about "pure" (non-phone) Linux (I'm with @sulu on this one, I would even go as far as dropping phone support

Perhaps it would be a good idea to try to reach those other communities, which have no own hardware and need to rely on inferior Android stuff without proper keyboard or screen, and tell them that their stuff will run just fine on the Neo900.

The Neo900 can actually be the missing link, the holy grail (or at least the holy brick , of free smartphone-related software, allowing cool software projects to actually run on something cool.
